Frequently asked questions

Is this free?

Most of it is, and nothing requires a credit card to try. Solo and Battle Royale are completely free with no restrictions. Classroom mode has a free tier covering up to 3 sessions per month and 15 students per session — enough for most occasional users. If you want to run it more regularly, the Educator License is $39 for the full year. No student accounts are required at any tier.

Does this require IT approval?

In most cases, no. Block Clutch is a standard browser app with no downloads, no student accounts, and no data collection from players. There is nothing to install and no student credentials to manage. If your IT department has specific questions, we are happy to provide documentation.

Does it work on Macs, PCs, phones, and tablets?

Yes. It runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. No plugins or hardware requirements.

How do I get an Educator License?

Tap or click “Get Educator License” on this page, enter your email, and pay securely via Stripe. Your Enchantment Scroll code is delivered to your inbox within seconds — go straight to /classroom and start a session. You can manage your subscription or cancel anytime at /license/manage.

Can students play without me running the session?

Yes. Battle Royale lets any student host a game. They create a lobby, share the 4-digit code, and up to 8 players compete. No teacher dashboard or license required.

How many questions are there? Will students see the same ones twice?

There are over ... questions across five categories (and the bank keeps growing). Questions are served in randomized order each session, so repeat plays feel different. New question batches are added regularly.

What does the CSV export include?

Two files: a student report (gamertag, score, rank, accuracy, average response time) and a question report (question text, category, difficulty, correct answer rate). Both are available immediately after a session ends.
